IVISION TECH LAUNCHES ISEE, the first technological glasses for the mobility of visually impaired people, on the market

iVision Tech launches iSee, the first assistive technological glasses for mobility, enabling visually impaired individuals to detect their surroundings up to four meters away, enhancing their autonomy and ensuring greater safety during movement.

The iSee Project is a social initiative by iVision Tech focused on developing innovative solutions to meet the everyday needs of visually impaired people. The glasses, now entering the market, were entirely designed by a team led directly by iVision Tech, with the valuable input of a group of visually impaired individuals. Pre-orders will begin this December on the e-commerce platform isee-one.com, and in February 2025, the glasses will be officially unveiled to the public at the international eyewear exhibition Mido in Milan.

By integrating state-of-the-art technologies, the device leverages advanced sensors and highly sophisticated audio tools to detect obstacles up to four meters away. This achievement is made possible through a system of algorithms that analyzes and processes the surrounding environment, generating an accurate map conveyed to the user via intuitive auditory signals.

Thanks to innovative engineering, the device achieves an unprecedented level of miniaturization. This ensures optimal performance in terms of battery life, responsiveness, and aesthetic discretion, resembling an ordinary pair of glasses in every way.

The development of the iSee glasses involved the collaboration of leading technology companies in the field of components, along with a team of experts specializing in telecommunications, satellite technology, and applications for environmental mapping and geolocation.

Last May, iVision Tech obtained ISO 13485:2016 Certification, authorizing it to produce medical devices and related services.

Federico Fulchir, Project Manager for iSee at iVision Tech, stated:“We are thrilled to finally announce the launch of these glasses, of which we are immensely proud. Our initial goal is to cover the European and North American markets, where there are 3.6 million visually impaired individuals, and subsequently expand globally, addressing the needs of approximately 43 million people affected by blindness. In the first half of 2025, we aim to position iSee as a medical device, allowing a broader audience to afford the glasses in alignment with our guiding principle of making this project a tangible social initiative.”

Stefano Fulchir, CEO of iVision Tech, added: “This is a social project we are deeply proud of, and it has involved extensive design work to achieve an exceptionally high level of quality. The technological acquisitions and partnerships we have secured over the past months have been strategic in reaching this milestone, and we are confident that our smart glasses will soon assist millions of visually impaired individuals.”
